Welcome to

Summit Atlanta

February 5-6, 2027

On February 5-6, 2027, a hand-selected ensemble of adult singers will gather at First Baptist Church of Decatur in Atlanta, GA, to rehearse and perform choral music at a level most of us haven't touched since our last honor choir. This time, there's no curfew or chaperones, and the coffee will be much better!

The venue is a beautiful space with amazing acoustics right in the heart of Decatur, GA, a culture-rich city in the heart of Atlanta. The experience is designed to be walkable from start to finish. You can opt to stay in the Courtyard by Marriott one block from the venue, and the social events are also a short walk away!

Only
150 spots exist in this inaugural iteration. Every seat is earned through acceptance, and completing your registration will secure your place among our first Summit singers. Register now to secure your spot in our first-ever "All-State Choir for Adults"!

COMMUNITY IMPACT

In every city Summit visits, we partner with a local charitable organization as part of the weekend experience because we believe an ensemble this size can & should leave a mark beyond the concert hall.

For our very first event, we're asking for your help in choosing that organization. If you have a connection to a charitable organization in the Atlanta area — one you volunteer with or simply one you think deserves a spotlight — tell us about it in your registration form below. We can't guarantee every suggestion becomes our partner, but we'd love to hear your ideas. Atlanta's hosting us first, and we'd like to give something in return.

ACCESSIBILITY

In this ensemble, every voice is important and deserves to be heard. We want every singer fully able to participate and be part of this weekend. Whether you need mobility or dietary accommodations, or perhaps you have questions about accessibility, we want to hear from you before you arrive.

The registration form includes space to share any of this with us. Nothing you share here affects your acceptance or your place in the ensemble, but it helps our on-site team prepare so that you may focus on what you're here for: the music

Do I get to choose my voice part?

We ask for your voice part preference during the application process, and we do our best to honor it. However, final section assignments are made by Summit's artistic staff based on the needs and balance of the full ensemble. This helps us build the best possible sound for everyone on stage, including you.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes, if you're unable to attend, you may request to transfer your spot to another singer who has already been accepted to Summit, as long as the request comes in at least 14 days before the event. All transfers are subject to Summit approval and depend on the needs of the ensemble. Registrations cannot be sold or transferred independently.

What's included in my registration fee?

Everything you need to walk in prepared and walk out with something to remember: sheet music, recorded practice tracks by voice part, professional instrumentalists and accompanists, two social events with light catering, a commemorative T-shirt, and a professionally recorded copy of the final concert performance. See the full list above for more details.

Do I need previous professional singing experience to attend?

No professional experience is required, but Summit is a screened, audition-style experience. You were accepted based on your application, which considered your voice part, choral experience, music literacy, and comfort with sight-reading. If you're registering for this event, you've already cleared that bar.

What if I need to cancel after I register?

We understand plans change. Refunds are available on a sliding scale depending on how far out you cancel:
More than 90 days before the event: you'll receive a full refund minus a $50 nonrefundable fee
31-90 days before the event: you'll receive a 50% refund

Inside 30 days before the event: registration fees are nonrefundable.

Full details are in the Registration & Cancellation Policy below.

What if Summit sells out before I register?

Only 150 spots exist for our inaugural Atlanta event, and once they're filled, registration will close. If that happens before you register, we'll open a waitlist and reach out if space becomes available.

What if I have dietary restrictions or need accessibility accommodations?

The registration form below includes space to tell us about any of these. Let us know as much as you're comfortable sharing, and our on-site team will do everything possible to plan ahead for you.

What happens if Summit has to change or cancel part of the event?

Summit may need to make reasonable changes to the schedule, venue, repertoire, or artistic personnel. This doesn't count as an event cancellation and doesn't typically qualify for a refund. If Summit cancels the entire event without offering a replacement date or comparable alternative, you'll receive a full refund of your registration fees.

What music will we sing?

At each Summit event, we will sing 6 or 7 of the most popular pieces that would be typical for an All-State choir. At this inaugural event, we'll have composers ranging from classic composers such as C.V. Stanford and Handel, all the way to modern choral icons such as Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen. Check our our embedded playlist below for a full setlist!

How do I get accepted to sing with Summit?

If you've already applied and been accepted as a Summit singer, then you're all set to register below! If you've not yet applied, you can quickly do so here. Our team reviews each and every application, so apply now to join us and reach the Summit!

Summit Registration & Cancellation Policy

We know plans can change. At the same time, Summit makes significant commitments—including venue, music, production, staffing, and event costs—based on the number of singers who register. The following policies allow us to provide some flexibility while making it possible to plan an exceptional experience for everyone.

Registration

Registration is available only to singers who have been accepted into Summit.

Your spot in the ensemble is confirmed once registration and payment are received.

Registration is non-transferable except as described below.

Voice-part preferences are considered, but final section assignments are made by Summit's artistic staff based on ensemble balance.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel your registration

More than 90 days before the event: Full refund minus $50 nonrefundable registration fee.

31–90 days before the event: 50% refund.

30 days or fewer before the event: Nonrefundable.

Refund eligibility is based on the date Summit receives your cancellation request.

Within the nonrefundable period, refunds are not available for illness, schedule changes, travel disruptions, or missed portions of the event.

We recommend refundable travel arrangements or travel insurance.

Registration Transfers

You may request to transfer your registration to another singer who has already been accepted to Summit, provided we receive notice of the request at least 14 days before the event.

All transfers require Summit's approval and depend on ensemble needs.

Registrations may not be sold, advertised, or transferred independently.

Attendance & Preparation

Participants are expected to attend all rehearsals, sound checks, and performances, arrive on time, and make a good-faith effort to prepare distributed music in advance.

Significant absence or tardiness may result in a participant being unable to perform.

No refunds are issued for rehearsals or performances missed by the participant.

Event Changes

Summit may make reasonable changes to schedule, venue, repertoire, artistic personnel, or social activities.

These changes do not constitute event cancellation and do not typically qualify for refunds.

Event Cancellation

If Summit cancels the event without a replacement date or comparable alternative, registration fees will be refunded.

Summit is not responsible for participant travel, lodging, or other related expenses.

In circumstances beyond Summit's control, Summit may offer a reschedule, credit, refund, or other reasonable alternative.

Participant Conduct

Summit is designed to be a welcoming, collaborative, and respectful community of singers.

Participants are expected to treat fellow singers, artistic staff, event staff, venue personnel, and others with respect.

Harassment, threatening or unsafe behavior, significant disruption of rehearsals or events, or other conduct that substantially interferes with the experience of others may result in removal from the event without refund.

Participants are responsible for their own conduct and purchases at optional social events, including responsible alcohol consumption.

Agreement

By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Summit Registration & Cancellation Policy. I understand that Summit will make financial and logistical commitments based on my registration and that cancellation deadlines and refund policies will be applied as described above.
